Amazing Multimedia specializes in audio The work we do is not a sideline - it's our business. We don't do something else during the day and then try to pick up extra money fiddling with audio on nights and weekends. We do it well and we do it right. The vast majority of our work is editing and restoration. For more than 30 years, we have serviced the broadcasting, entertainment and recording industry. Amazing Multimedia is known for successfully tackling the toughest problems from film and video audio sweetening, looping and repair to forensics, sound design and great restoration. We don't have swanky offices with plush furniture, a wet bar and overpaid prima donnas. What we do have is the best equipment and software, run by an audio pro that's seen, heard, done and fixed just about everything. We're not a recording studio. We don't do bands, groups, albums, demos or anything that would require more than two people in the area at one time. The reasons are simple: first, we specialize in working with audio; and second, all the equipment doesn't leave room for that stuff. That doesn't mean we don't do voiceover work. We do - a lot. But we rarely bring in talent. The boss has been doing voiceovers for 30 years for some of the biggest companies in the nation - and we do it right here. We're even willing to do one on spec for you. See the Voiceover page for details. We can take a 50 or 75-year old record that's covered with mildew and scratches and make it sound brand new. We can take a thin audio track, fatten it up and knock your ears off. We can take plain voice tracks and build a spot that matches the excitement you want. We are based in Honolulu, Hawaii and have clients from all over the world. While those on the East Coast think we're far away, those in Japan think we're close - so it all balances out. Some folks bring their cherished records with them on vacation and we have the restored audio ready to go when they leave for home. Some e-mail them and others wrap them up (carefully) and send them UPS or FedEx. If you have an audio problem, e-mail or call us with the details and we'll tell what we can (and can not) do to fix it. Please keep in mind that we need to hear the problem before we can really diagnose a fix. Also remember that the vast majority of audio restoration sites you find on the Internet are small, part time operations generally run out of someone's home studio. There's nothing wrong with that and some pretty talented people are out there looking to pick up extra money fiddling with your records and tapes. But the equipment likely is consumer grade and the computer software general purpose and low-cost. Like in any business, the tools you use determine the quality of the product you produce. Experience is also important to consider. Having a noise reduction plug-in for your audio software program is not going to give you the results that come from professional grade tools, operated by talented pros that have been doing this line of work for the broadcast and film industry - the most demanding clients possible. We are good, we're fast and our prices are as competitive with any you'll find elsewhere. Please choose carefully if you care about the product you get. If you're interested in trying to clean your own records, read the Restoration Notes pages and you'll be off to a good start. Looking for something specific? Go to the Quick Links page here.
